“Klimt’s True Love”
Inspiration & Technique
I had to take on Gustav Klimt in wax, one of the hardest masters I’ve come to know to date. Each painting I’ve done in wax that represents a master artist has taught me more about these artists and their techniques than any textbook. I’ve been on a journey and – may I say – that Klimt is has been a challenge from color to forms. I chose this painting because it’s not well known, but Emilie Floge was his life companion and true love.
