The Sorrow Tree

Inspiration & Technique

I made a poem a few weeks ago and thought I needed to make a painting to go with it. I thought of the movie “What Dreams May Come” and wanted to do a tree similar to the one in that movie. Anyway here’s my piece and the poem “ Rooted” to go along with it. Enjoy

“I’ll wait for you,
If you’ll wait for me,
Like a pillar In concrete,
Underneath the,
Sorrow tree.”
“My arms outstretched,
My eyes open wide,
When years,
And tears,
Begin to subside.”
“I’ll wait for you,
If you’ll wait for me,
Like a pillar in concrete,
Underneath the,
Sorrow tree.”
